How does it work?
We talk to you. Yes. really. Using experience in journalism and film production, we talk to you to get a deep understanding of what you need and why. That allows us to deliver projects on time, on budget and on target.
Why haven’t I heard of you before?
That’s a good question. Where have you been? Actually cut yourself some slack, we only started out in January 2018. It’s okay, we understand.
I see you offer consultancy, what’s included?
From a coffee shop meeting one afternoon giving you advice on your current blogging style through to a full product marketing strategy structure, marketing campaign or messaging rethink, we have a good idea of what you need. Contact us and we’ll give you a call to find out more about how your business works.
What can you do for me?
- Make you more money by better articulating what your products or services mean to customers. That might be through social, text, video, images or a combination of those elements and others
- Deliver leads, click-throughs, engagement, or all three, depending on your goals
- Design communications strategies and execute on them for you
- Deliver media training
- Deal with PR crises (unless you are an Evil Megacorp that deserves a public spanking).
What else can you do?
We develop events and experiences. Events means cool things you can come along to and experiences means…well, anything from apps to theatre to film to YouTube series’ that don’t involve Creatine-guzzling moron boys insulting everyone with a scintilla of intelligence and human empathy.
We publish original books and magazines. We also publish The City Report, a website focused on one city per month.
We do anything else creative (and profitable) that occurs to us. But no opera. Opera is awful. (Please note, this does not reflect the opinion of the entire partnership team at The Means, it might just be the CEO grinding his axe like the terrible little axe grinder that he is).
Is there a way I can get Toto - Africa to play in your office?
Yes. We love this song. Like our Facebook and Twitter pages, then email email@example.com with “TOTO IS THE BEST” as the subject line and a nice bit of feedback about us to sweeten the deal. We’ll post video proof to Twitter.
What kind of prices are we talking about here?
We’re affordable, but we have to pay the team. It’s not rocket science, the smaller the project, the smaller the price tag and vice versa. Get in touch, we can talk numbers.
I have a one-off project that needs doing, do you have a rate card?
Yes, we do. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get one sent over.
This all sounds great! How do I work with you?
Send us your ideas in a contact form and we’ll talk to you. It’s as simple as that.
How often will I hear from you?
Your project will be in the hands of expert content creators whose entire focus is on producing excellent creative work. If we need you, we’ll be in touch. If you want a progress report for your board meeting or just want a status report from us, then get in touch on email@example.com
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes. You have to sign a Service Level Agreement which includes a Statement of Work. This is to make sure you know what we’re up to and that you agree to working with us on the ideas we’ve discussed together. It’s business 101 and everyone does it.
Do you have a media pack I can look through?
Yes. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request your copy and we’ll talk.
I’ve changed my mind! How do I cancel?
Tell us as soon as possible. We could be working on your project right now. If you’ve signed the SLA then we are obliged to carry out work to the value of that contract. We don’t mind changing what that work is though, as long as it’s completed in the time already agreed in the contract and equates to the same value (although this is at our discretion).
How do I pay you?
We send you an invoice which you have 30 days to pay. We like BACs transfers the most but can accept cash or cheque too. If you have any problems, drop us a line on email@example.com.
What do you do to unwind in the office?
We play a wonderful card game called Exploding Kittens. It has kittens and explosions and sometimes goats. It helps on bad days.
